Put on Roberts (Be4u) IC
« on: March 05 2008, 06:11:02 PM »
I still need to slot the bolt holes on the passenger side for more clearance, but I hammer gave me enough ( 1/4" ) so good enough for now. I used the stock shroud for now, but Earl has me talked into trying to make one from fiberglass. I started making my templates, but need to get something stronger than cardboard for the sides.
I still need to take it for a test run as well

Jim! Sheet metal and a brake! shouldn't be too hard, make a cardboard templates and bend a couple 90's. Then rivet it up!
My 1958 Mamiya can beat up whatever camera you just wasted your money on.

I've worked with sheet metal before, but thought earl had a good idea..it would be different.

Ypu should be able to get some coated aluminum from Home Depot for the sides
of your mold. Spray Pam on it before you lay the fiberglass to keep it from sticking.
This method works the balls.

Earl told me about that...hmmm I wonder what he's been doing with pam ..
I'll make the template then spray the inside with foam, the foam will became my mold
for the fiberglass.
