General Buick Tech / radiator fan
« on: June 25 2012, 05:18:39 PM »
I've noticed, througout this whole voltage issue i was chasing down, that the fan for the radiator draws the most current.  My SM shows 13.7-13.9 before that thing kicks on, then when it does, forget about it. anything i can do?

« on: June 06 2012, 09:46:10 AM »
ok, i need to know where to buy that circuit board thats held down by two screws sitting in between the heater core and the blower motor(what is that piece called?). One of the prongs rusted off and now the blower motor isn't working. I've yet to find it, and I've looked at a few sites so far.  thanks for any help

General Buick Tech / Confusion
« on: May 28 2012, 03:20:01 PM »
Hey guys, Im in the process of splicing this new ECM harness into the car, and I found a tan wire on B12.  Im confused b/c the diagram that came with the harness is showing a yellow wire at that location.  Steve's site is showing a blk/wht wire at that location.  both showing injector 5, but the diagram i have is showing injector 5 with a "G." Why is there a tan wire at B12 right now oppose to either blk/wht or yellow?  and, which diagram should i follow?

General Buick Tech / possibly found the culprit
« on: May 07 2012, 06:30:44 PM »
ok, so i been chasing this voltage issue(low voltage on my SM), and been researching a lot between Steve's website and turbobuicks.co m.  I decided to look at the ecm after looking at the ign switch, bat terminal, etc.  Seems like i'm getting about 4 tenths of voltage diff when just moving the ECM.  I want to check the connectors for corrosion, but my dumb behind dont know how to remove the plug without breaking anything.  and, which wire into the ECM am i checking for? pink/black?  thanks

General Buick Tech / Quick and Simple ?

If I'm reading the diagnostic charts correctly, code 13 and code 44(lean exhaust i believe) are related to each other??  Code 13 just popped up today during cruise.

General Buick Tech / Further annoyance
« on: March 09 2012, 09:58:14 AM »
Before I install this MAF translator, i plan to replace a few vacuum hoses because the ones that were on the car are cracked. Went to one of the stores near me, and they gave me a hose thats slightly larger than the original. I didnt think it would make that big of deal, until I installed and the car barely wants to run due the vacuum leaks.  I mean, it sounds like a flat tire underneath the hood of the car. Anyway, does anyone know of an exact size hose i should ask for??  thanks

General Buick Tech / FP gauge
« on: December 12 2011, 03:37:21 PM »
Was looking at some FP gauges, and was curious if the ones on Fullthrottle came with everything(wires etc), or just the gauge.  Also, was checking into getting this hotwire kit, and my mechanic told me to get the one where the relay mounts up front instead of in the back(thought they all mounted upfront).  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks
