Happy Thanksgiving to your Steve and everyone on board,
Steve, I know talked about front coil spring replacement, but being I'm in the process of replacing lower A-frame bushings and both ball joints, then why not replace the coil spring with new ones.
My question which one is better quality made, and would also be a direct stock OEM replacement?
1 - Moog 5606 coil spring
2 - LESJÖFORS 4112150
3 - ACDELCO 45H0111

I don't have a clue. I don't think Moog is as widely regarded as it once was. the cheaper AC springs are not well regarded either and I have no idea about the Swedish contender. They are highly rated on Amazon for BMWs
This sounds like an opportunity for Earl to tell us they are all chinese and to use something else :D I have Eibachs on my GN which lower the car about an inch and Moogs on T from 20 years ago.

Thanks Steve good to hear from you, and I was thinking about Moog 5606, but just wanted to know if the others were better or cheaper.
Thanks again

I have another question, are rears coil spring Variable Rate Springs or Constant Rate?
-
OEM front and rear springs are constant rate. Back in the day MOOG 5606 was the choice for replacement. Now they and most others are garbage. They will need to be replaced often. I never heard of LESJÖFORS. Look around on other Gbody boards and see want others have success and happy with within the last year or two.

Damn - that Lesjöfors company has been in business since 1675. :O
-
The two GN at my house had cargo spring. Was that option our someone installed?
-
Someone put them there but not the factory. Variable rate is nice for ride but hooking one up on the street or strip is difficult with them .
