Well the short block got hurt in September.Car was a 12.0 and a lot of 11.90@ 112-114mph
The new short block has #1,2and3 caps a DLS forged  rotating assemblies
Ill use my Fullthrottle 206-210 roller cam
My heads were stock I just cleaned up the casting from the flash and sharp edges,stock valves and 3 angle valve job and beehive springs.
Tom at Champion advice is CNC ported Irons, But just a few $100 and Im  in a set of aluminum.
I now the Irons will go 9s and Im just going to go 11.5
With VE being equal between the two,
Weight, hart shape comb. chamber  and Chev type Scorpion Rockers Its a 1 vote for the aluminum heads for me
How many vote Aluminum , how many vote ported irons and how many vote just leave them the way it was
PS a small (very small)chance Ill put this engine in a GenIII and shot for 10s. I have a spear that is stock

got a new Alky chip from TT(4month a go) locking converter @85 that is all it took to get me to my target 11.90 ET



just installed A powerlogger thought I would see more RPM drop (150 rpm) than that?
 

any thoughts?

Do I really need a power logger ?two weeks ago I finally got it  solid in the 11's, 11.96 @112mph,6 passes ,1.75 60ft ,1/8 mile 7.6@91mph so consistent.Thi s week 12.05-12.33 @110-111mph 1/8 7.88-7.68@88.7-90.8 with my best 60's ever 1.38- 1.44.
My 0'2s where 750's  this week it was ,695 on my fastest pass 756.Made 4 passes first two was my bad.After two bo bo's I got every thing back to last weeks settings and I was ready.My best 60's but no ET to show for it.

the year has started out good 11.881 @ 113.5 but I could not figure what the popping was after I let off at the end of the pass, tell I looked and saw the two step light lit I was left foot braking and standing on the switch It sure was noisy.Not sure how to adjust it started at 2700 no retard  60ft not so good(1.881)   went to  2800 and 8* retard and helped the 60ft (1.723) I stall at 2800 felt like I was on the convertor a little hard like it was tring to drive through the brakes. Got any suggestions?
