Reckless Rob look in here...
« on: June 09 2007, 06:59:26 PM »
I am taking the cup car out June 23, so I pulled 'er out and tried to get to ignite but it just cranks. So I dropped a little gas in the carb and it fired, but only for the amount of gas that was in the carb. I then got a can of Fast Start and that didn't work either.

I am thinking I need to pull the fuel lines at the tank and fill those with gas. I will try that tomorrow.

What do you think?

What are you getting for fuel pressure ? Are you running a filter ? Call me on my cell if you need to reach me sooner.

On a side note be careful with the race fuel you buy at the track. Because of NASCAR's "car of tomorrow" B.S. and them trying to be politically correct, they've
switched many tracks to 98 octane unleaded fuel in place of the 112 octane leaded
race fuel. Most engines were built for the higher octane fuel and won't tolerate the
new shit. Also make sure that the fuel you use isn't oxygenated to stay in
compliance with the SCCA's current rules.

Pretty east actually. The car smell like gas, exhuast, old interior, etc... Even with my head under the hood I could not smell it.

Jim, there is little that we do as car people that is good for us! LOL!

Okay, I got the braided line fixed, installed and the car fired right up. Oil Pressure is at a full 60 pounds at idle.

I think I'm gonna go racin' boys...
