Anything that says antifreeze resistant.

Thanks for the reply.... I am trying to decide between the Permatex #2 non harding, Loctite 567, or the Ultra Black and was wondering who had the best results from which.

I just walk in and grab sealer that says antifreeze resistant. Stuff I used on this engine is black...not sure of the brand. Maybe Permatex?

Run a tap through the threads to clean 'em out.

I use the Loctite 567, it has always worked for me so I really didn't need to try anything else.  Can't comment on the Permatex because I've never used it.

And a GM seal tab just for good measure since I run MLS head gaskets.
