Still Kickin Here
« on: December 30 2012, 11:11:24 AM »
Not that anyone really missed me--but I've been pretty-much absent since selling my GN almost 3 years ago now.  I'm still kickin here, numerically aged between Steve Wood and Chuck Leeper.  Was cleaning out my computer "favorites" here near year-end & came upon my old "IhadaV8 site/board membership" here, clicked on it, & it went directly to site--at least my computer's memory is still intact.

I see where a lot of my former friends from TBs are now here--haven't really caught-up on the switch-reasoning, and guess it really doesn't matter--although I'm still humanly curious.

You (like me) would not believe what my former GN has since been transformed into--looks like a pimped base Regal.  Only outward evidence of GN is seatback "6-swoosh" in its new/leather interior. I'll try to fetch/post a pix just "for-the-record".

I did just look at my very-old Profile/Sig/avatar & quickly updated it. I really never used this site much at all, as I found TB & TBs sites more heavily used and useful.

Hope all had a good Xmas & pls have a great 2013,,,

Mike sold TBs.com to a large corporation so it's pretty much an abandoned archive site now. TB.kom is still TB.kom.

I was wondering if you are still kicking!  It ain't the heaviness of use...it is the quality of the info :D

I'm sure Earl would add to that by emphasizing "It's not the size of tool--but rather the efficiency of it's use..."  :player:

Now going to search for pix of my GN--pimped-out, dark cherry, 18's, etc,,,I'm getting sick  :013:  [but, in overall scheme of life--it's now his & he could just set it on fire if he chose to...]...Later,,,

OK, found pimped GN pix...although my GN interior was exlnt (no rips, tears, stains, fading, etc...), I do like the new leather interior throughout.

I plan on painting my GN pepper gray metallic, (Like "Eleanor"), should thoroughly piss off the GN purists.

I do think it would be cool for my 41...but think I'll start w/ simple extention of white out onto hood so as to appear like copper flames projecting into...

Are you planning to leave your GN badging intact?

HOLY COINCIDENCE!

Went to a cruise-in today w/ flamed 49 ThunderChicken & a friend's red Dodge "Super-Stocker" was already parked "crowding the line"--so I left an open-space for perhaps a smaller "ride"...Lo & behold, I come back in 10 min or so & I find my old GN (now "pimped Regal") squeezed in there.

I had to wait for the "wad" to leave before I could get into my driver's side... :rolleyes;

Good, that will somewhat "aplease" the purists...Pls hurry--I'm growing older even as I type this  :icon_eyes:   And, that seems like a good "coolor" choice (if one must stray from traditional black).  :icon_kidra:
