I’ve been chasing the dropping numbers for mounts started 25 down to 20 at first then 15. Spraying carb cleaner with no clear leak.Got all the way down to 9 ,keeps have residue around throttle shaft.
I changed it out with a spear I have. The one I took off has .010 play is that a lot?

I'm no expert, but that sounds like quite a bit. You can ask Steve Monroe for a professional opinion :)

Steve got back to me,should I just do a rebuild or do the 62 MM blade ?
-
62 without ? Around 7% more area to flow air.
That's not 7% more air it's 7% more area to flow air/
Or think of it like going from a 58 mm Mikuni to a 62 mm
-
I can't see that the money spent on the 62mm upgrade could come close to being cost effective in the performance increase. Everything adds up but for me there are way better ways to spend that coin.

Unless, it's a big difference, I would do both
-
I would open it up and let it breathe easier at this point.

The cost is 85 for repairs to the shaft bushing and seals and 135 for complete service and 62 mm.
I think it my be worth the money. Steve has a good reputation.
Car dose run pretty good

Steve does excellent work for sure

Had one of Steves on my car. Throttle response was kick ass!
