valtrain oiling

ok fired up my fresh engine yesterday, stated right up but there wash some ticking from the valvetrain. oil pressure is at @60 psi cold, on the drivers side i have oil on about half the rockers and on the passenger side its dry except assembly lube. engine was primed before startup and i'm using comp roller lifters. where should i look first? TIA

Which comp lifters are you using. Roller or flat tappet ?
Roller rockers or stock ? Pushrods; how long are they ?

using comp rollers, i have a comp rev x roller from full throttle in it. i'm leaning toward improper cam bearing installation from the symptoms. nor roller rockers and cant remember pushrod length but i did check it and had to reorder correct length.

If your're running the hi-perf roller lifters, you have a very narrow window
of lash adjustment for them to work correctly.  If I remember correctly, the
block is grooved inside the cam bearing journals, so its highly unlikely a misinstalled cam bearing. There is a possibility that the oil galley plug on the front of the block
behind the timing chain may not have been staked in correctly and could've become dislodged. There are also some on the back of the block, but you would've noticed a leak similar to the worst rear main seal that you've ever seen.
