This last one is of a Friend of mine who has since passed. He was a true hot rodder, he was the best business man I ever met and i'm pretty sure learned most of his smarts through the school of hard knocks. He had the foresight to go to the local Buick Dealer in Dallas and get them to agree in writing to sell him their GNX even though he and they weren't even sure they could get one. This is that car. He was the original owner and being the hot rodder he was pulled the original ceramic turbo and cut that original under bumper spoiler for the kennebell ram air. RIP Pat Neil

I have one, have had two others. I'm the pic collector those for sale ads say they don't want. I've loved me some turbo regal since the article in hot rod in 1986(I was a senior in Hs driving my 1970 GS455 at that time. TriShield is in my blood). You didn't say we had to own the cars in the pix we post.

Check the water vapour from  a cracked cylinder. Happened early in the race season couple years back. Grabbed a can of copper seal from a truck stop...the stuff works. Would use a quart of water per run...but held together for quite some time before it split right up to the deck.

Ya that was me. I wasn't supposed to drive that far but we made it. I couldn't work for almost 10 months & I'm self employed so it hurt in more ways than one! Not sure if that was my 1st or 2nd year? I made it 4 years in a row then they changed host hotels & that was the last time we went. Good Fun!  :cheers:

Those are the 10.5's on the stock rims...and I also have the Billet Specialties. Headfake 'em with the stockers every now and again. The plate is still on the car...so that was 2015. The car was stolen Oct 4th of that year.

Bathroom scales said 10...not sure how accurate they are. With the 9 inch slicks mounted on them they're lighter than Frisbees. Think the stock rims come in at 28 lbs.

Just got some 15x10's for the GS. Weld Pro Stars......... weighed in at approx 15lbs. The steel wheels I was running in 15x8 were 26lbs each lol.......so 22lbs off with a rim swap. wallet hurts though!

That was a run I made in very late fall through the Apple/Wine route and across the Glenora ferry into Kingston. Less sun light during the winter months so the trees lose their leaves.

Polished em I'm sure and probably a clear coat to keep em shiney. Used to do it to the mustang ten holes. Looks sharp fer sher.

Did you sand down the casting flash in the spokes and then polish?

Damn, that looks good!  A clear coat would probably turn yellow on the aluminum.

 took em to a aluminum polishing shop,  $500 later, 
polisher complained about how difficult they were to do.
dismounted of  course,
yes, they sand them smooth first,

I like them ,as  very few are like them,

next brain fart  is polished 18in GNX rims , (all polished, no black)
