Title: Hello from WI
Post by: Moparkid on February 21 2015, 07:50:37 PM
I was a member here a few years ago, I totally forgot about this TB board  :O
Not only did I forget this place existed, I forgot my old screen name too.
Anyhoo, like the title says, I am from Wisconsin and am a proud owner of an '87 GN T-Top car. Rebuilt the engine and installed a performance built transmission in it about 4 years ago, and have put about 10k miles on the clock since. I have a ton of tasteful mods, including turbo upgrade and other necessary bolt-ons. I haven't loved a car this much since my 68/69 Dodge Charger's. I've also had a slew of other G bodies in the past, but my GN is by far the best  :powersix:
If you Facebook, look up Wisconsin G Bodies - especially if you are from Wisconsin too. I run that stuff. No drama. Yet  :icon_lol:
Here's my car:

Beaut of a car. I spent some time in Kenosha. The only time I came back to a hotel room with frozen windows!!! Welcome. You'll probably find a few M***** fans here. We all love to spool as an addiction. 440 Procharger

I love WI!. If there was money making employment I'd probably still live there as we loved the place. We lived in Burlington near Bohner's Lake. I also lived in Madison, Marshfield and Racine for a bit.

GLD in Da Grove was great and that drive in in Troy where the fast street cars gathered was fun too. Sleds in winter, nothing else like it.

Glad you made it back.

I live just west of Madison. Been to GLD many times, but haven't had time in the last 3-4 years to go. They've had a car or two stolen out of the pits down there the last couple seasons... Not good. I would always stay at my uncles house in Burlington when getting my track fix in. The place in East Troy is Gus' Drive In, never been there but hear its a good time

Welcome!  Spent many a Augusts in Oshkosh for air venture. Stayed in the town of Ripon while doing the air show.  Also have friends in Menomonie and Eagle River.  I really liked Wisconsin in August!
