Scan readings
« on: September 26 2015, 05:12:32 PM »
Just got my friends GN on the road, things look good on the PL and scan master except for the O2s , it's showing run lean after warm up it cycles and goes to 000 and stays there until you move the throttle, I also notice when cruising , any change in throttle speeding up , it also hits the 000 , so I put in a new 02 sensor and it's still the same . It's like it's reading and shuts off

try unplugging the orange wire and resetting the ecm...

then look for a big air leak...pcv valve, leak between maf and throttlebody, etc.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

looking at the log the Bls are at 129 when the 02s are reading 000. I noticed that it only does it at idle and part throttle , and not at WOT.
The owner took the car home with him to have it cleaned up , so next time I have it here I will do some more checking,

What chip is in that thing?

It sounds like it is staying in open loop (speed density) and not referencing the O2 (closed loop) until it gets upto a set load point.  Which is backwards traditional methods.
