broke my rear end friday night at the track. Spider gears sheared, ring and pinion still good. i was looking around the net to find some replacements to get it back on the road but from what I understand GM doesn't allow you to change them, you can for an open diff, but not a posi. so I am looking into going with the Auburn pro 30 spline and 30 spline axles. will that be enough to handle high 1.4 sixty foot?

My laptop screen broke and I will have to purchase another, just wondering what operating systems does it run off of. My plan was to go and run this friday but I will not without being able to log.

Finally figured the problem with the boost, operator error, just a short hit , boost is up and down but i am running on only the waste gate actuator rod. O2s are low but no knock

Turn the key on fuel pressure goes to 40 psi but as soon as the pump stops the pressure goes down to 30 then slowly bleeds down. Fairly new pump, regulator and gauge, I seem to remember on a freinds car that his does not drop

I have always seen the light near the ecm and dome light flicker when at idle, but now it seems to have gotten worse and I can see my fuel pressure gauge flutter also. so if the FP gauge is fluttering that means the pump is also. my voltage is never steady, could it be the alternator?

Went to the track last night to watch some races, once I left the track I get on the highway and taking off normal , went thru first gear into second so I give it a lil gas to get to 55 mph because traffic was coming , made about 2 psi of boost then I hear a loud release of pressure and the car kills. Pulled over and the car doesn't start and spins over very easily like there is no compression. Had one of my friends check the rocker and they are not moving. Timing chain must have broke.

last week while driving I noticed the the trans was acting strange, from 1-2 gear seemed like it was slipping or struggling to go to 2nd gear. next stop I unhooked the TV cable and pulled a few times then readjusted, the reaction was the same for about 10 min of driving then something changed, now it revs up high before shifting into 2nd drive normal, but when taking off pretty hard it doesnt want to shift into 2nd gear, linkage is still working like it should P,R,N,D,2,1 but if I put the shift in 2nd gear it will not shift out of first until I shift to 3rd, if I down shift form 3rd to 2nd I goes into 1st. my guess would be something in the valve body, but looking for other opinions

its an 84 GN with 87 module and coil, I went thru the trouble shoot guide from Steve's site. after all the testing, it says to change the module. owner purchased a new one and was installed. no luck, today I went thru the whole check list again and its saying a bad module. here is what I found. I have crank signal from the crank sensor to the module but no signal coming out of the module to ecm. I looked around for something that would control the module not to send the signal but no luck. any ideas guys are did we just get a bad module out the box?

three passes today , after changing the rearend oil , and installing air bags. ran 7psi in left and 14 in right. time slips are in order and also the logs.

RPMs dropping 500-600 at shifts and at 5600 plus it start to knock, and i am getting to 5600rpm before the end of the track. I havent change my converter or changed the oil sending sensors in the valve body yet. how do I get quicker if i cannot turn more than 5600rpms

I have been hearing some noise when in boost which sounds like knock but its not showing on scan, I went out and recorded a few hits with the power logger , 2 hits from a stop with alot of wheels spin and one in third gear and one just normal.

I ran better at 18 psi 11.37@118 in april i think i was but is was alot cooler.
I noticed on pass three that my tps was over 4.8 at some point which it should not be , I will have to adjust it.
