A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

If you can get the alt. off the car, we can disassemble it and test it's guts. Get it off the car and check back.

f u paul.. i swear i was thinking that this morning. no it dont.. it also still has the electrical demond in it (that i've had from day one) that keeps eating up alt. and batteries. all dimmer switches, light switches grounds, fuel pump, ignition switch have been checked, factory alarm died (thank god) no draws in the radio.. and its still there.

the next alt. that goes in the car will be #7 on my 6th battery in 9 years. look for the problem you ask? well its been to buick when i first got it for a week.. they said they cant find it.. so.. i gave up. lol

Ack. I have one of those. Well, I bought the kit, not the complete unit.

Is there some issue with the kits I need to be aware of?

Sorry Rob, I couldn't help myself.

I hate electrical problems, they are the worst and I have no idea how to fix them.  Some guys are good with electrical issues, but not me.

Glad to hear that you've got your car down in Florida with you.
