Cooling fan coming on at 125
« on: May 15 2011, 11:10:25 PM »
What would cause my cooling fan to come on at 125 according to my scanmaster reading.I have a TT 5.6 chip.It was always coming on at 150 since i built the car and i thought that was normal, but other people say erics chips are set for 166.This car does have a replacement ecm from napa in it since i put it together.Im not sure if it would be an ecm, sensor or wiring problem.

being that it gets it's low speed command  from the chip via the ecm, the first question I would have is-the ecm coolant sensor reading properly?  Does your temperature gauge read the same as the scanmaster?

I saw Eric's reply.  We have all done things like that.  I have done it many times so don't feel bad.  The main thing is that you got it working right.
