Buick Performance Group - BPG / 2013 Buick Performance Group Event
« on: February 07 2013, 07:28:23 PM »
The Buick Performance Group invites you to attend our 2013 Event August 2nd and 3rd At National Trail Raceway in Hebron Ohio. This will be our 9th annual event. We cater to all makes and models of Buick's to celebrate the Buick performance and style that Buick has provided since 1903. We are a non-profit group that provides a venue for Buick's and Fun. The Key word being Fun. We have provided in the past few years many themed events including the GSX Reunion, Stage 1 convention, Turbo Trans Am Reunion and 25th Grand National GNX Anniversary. We have also provided Tech Seminars featuring Buick Engineers and production staff involved in the Buick Brand at the Event. This years event is a Block Party Theme. All makes and models are welcome. We have a new Host Hotel The Newark Metropolitan Hotel which is a full service 5 star Hotel featuring 24 hour Room service full restaurant and Bar. The City has also closed off the street in front of Hotel for Thursday and Friday night for our cruise in featuring a BBQ and on Friday night a live Band. At our 2012 Event we paid out $12000 in cash and $4000 in gift certificates to Racers and Car Show participants. This was one of the largest payouts at a Buick event in many years. By Attending this event you also provide monies to other Buick events such as the GSCA Quick 16...Midwest Buick Challenge...NE GS/GN Club. Buick Race Day...MAGNA point series. This makes the BPG unique in giving back to the Buick Community. When you attend a BPG event you will feel like family...you have a question we will answer it. We do listen. Most of you have seen what the BPG has done for the Buick Community since I became Chairman reaching out to other groups to promote Buick's and Fun and sending the message that we can co-exist and support each other. Bridges have been crossed and fences mended over the past five years. Jim Weise offered to send this e-mail to the V8.com members and that shows the type of Community we have. We are small in the car world but have big hearts. I hope to see some new faces in 2013 and hope you can attend. for more detailed information you can visit the BPG section on V8.com or visit www.buickperformancegroup.com or our face book site Buick Performance Group or contact me gbsean via PM or e-mail at gbsean@optonline.net...

Buick Events / Carlisle PA GM Nationals
« on: October 24 2012, 11:22:07 AM »
I have been approached by the Director of the Carlisle GM Nationals to help promote the 2013 Event Carlisle GM Nationals - Collector Car Show and Swap Meet, Everything GM, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile to help promote the Buick End of the Event. The Celebration Car will be the 35th anniversary of the turbo Buick family (since the first available turbo was 1978). The celebration will be open to any turbo Buick from 1978-1987, whether it be a GN, GNX, Turbo Regal, T-Type, etc. The Event is June 21-23rd 2013. They are in the process of setting the BPG up as an Official Car Group and I will post when that is done. This is not only open to Turbo Cars but all makes and models of Buick. This will be a great event to help promote the Buick Brand. The more cars that are registered under the BPG the bigger the Tent we get min 25 cars.  You do not need to be a BPG member to attend. This is open to all Buick lovers not matter what club affiliation. I have already reached at to John Csordas from the Northeast GS GN Club and they are on board as well as Jim Chardrue from MAGNA and they will both help getting Buick's to attend...I will post more details as I get them,,,,please do not register now until the group registration is set up...

Paint and Body / Re: body paint ?
« on: September 20 2012, 04:35:53 PM »
the only primer that can be left to the elements is an epoxy or 2K primer...the primer is the most important part...the better the primer the better the paint job...you need to figure out what top coat you are going to use and start from there...Rattle cans are not an option...

Also, IMO political conventions are old hat. More likely than not, they hurt more than they help nowdays.

I think Christie would wipe the floor in a debate...

am a huge Christie supporter...bu t it seemed to me he expects Romney to lose and is setting himself up for 2016..I was a little upset that he did not mention support for troops and families...but I also understand he is trying to not bash the Democrats...He is a lot better non scripted.. I was hoping for more bashing of democrats, but it seems the Republicans want to fix the problem...I also agree he would have a hard time in Washington...w e need more senators and reps like him if anything is going to change in this country...
